Job description |
The Department of Philosophy at Macquarie University is a pluralist department with recognized research excellence in many areas of Philosophy, including ethics, social and political philosophy, aesthetics, and mind and cognition. We are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Lecturer who will be actively engaged in our teaching programs and will develop the research profile of the Department. The appointee will contribute to teaching in the Mind, Metaphysics and Meaning stream of the Philosophy Department's undergraduate and postgraduate programs, which include the following courses: Mind, Meaning and Metaphysics; Philosophy of Science; Biology, Mind and Culture; Knowledge and Its Limits; Body and Mind; Truth and Reality; Metaphysics; Philosophy of Cognitive Science. The appointee will also contribute to teaching of Critical Thinking on a regular basis and will be expected to convene it from to time.
Salary Package: from $85,295 - $100,919 p.a. (Level B), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading |
