The Hoffberger Center for Professional Ethics at The University of Baltimore (USM) invites applications for the Hoffberger Fellowship in Ethics – a lecturer (non-tenure track) and administrative position to begin January 12 through the end of June, 2022. All positions at The University of Baltimore are subject to budgetary approval. Successful candidates will have a PhD or ABD (near completion) in philosophy. Relevant teaching experience preferred. Salary: $30,000 plus benefits Position is open until filled; applications received by October 22, 2021 will receive priority consideration. The Hoffberger Fellow will be responsible for teaching three courses, Spring, 2022: IDIS 302 “Ethical Issues in Business and Society" and two philosophy courses to be determined. Responsibilities also include participating in the life of the Hoffberger Center, enriching the curricular development of “Ethical Issues in Business and Society,” and advancing the mission of the existing Hoffberger library. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching and a demonstrated ability to instruct courses in ethics. This fellowship position is ideal for postdoc or advanced ABD candidates or early career candidates in between appointments.
