Job description

The Department of Philosophy at Loyola University New Orleans invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Philosophy (AOS: Open, AOC: Preference for some combination of Philosophy of Law, Social/Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Race, Non-Western Philosophy, and Feminism) beginning in fall 2022.

Loyola University New Orleans is a highly selective, Jesuit, Catholic institution dedicated to the liberal arts and sciences, whose primary mission is undergraduate education. The position has a 3/3 teaching load, and the ability to teach a broad range of material is an advantage. The candidate is expected to excel in teaching, research, and service. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in philosophy, with degree in hand by August 2022. Priority will be given to applications received by November 29, but applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
