'22 Philosophy Temporary Full- time Instructor (EXPIRED)

The Modern Languages, Philosophy, and Religion Department at East Stroudsburg University is seeking candidates for a one-semester sabbatical replacement in the Spring of 2022. The full-time temporary position includes teaching 4 courses per semester in the department’s philosophy program, including PHIL 110: Introduction to Philosophy and PHIL 140: Africana Philosophy.  Applicants from diverse cultural backgrounds, especially those from historically underrepresented groups, are encouraged to apply.

The Philosophy program at ESU offers three concentrations aligned with the teaching and research strengths of our faculty, which also reflect the interests of students who major in Philosophy: Knowledge and Critical Reasoning, Leadership in Diverse Communities, and Religion and Global Thought. The department is also home to the Interdisciplinary Studies major, and welcomes candidates whose research and teaching crosses different disciplines

Required Qualifications: M.A. in Philosophy or a related discipline.

Preferred Requirements:  PhD in Philosophy or a related discipline.
