WILLIAMS COLLEGE DEPARTMENT OF Philosophy invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Philosophy of Language beginning July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2024. AOS: Open. AOC: Open, but we are especially interested in candidates who can teach linguistics and/or an area of non-western philosophy. The teaching load each semester will consist of an introductory course and an upper-level elective. We provide mentoring in teaching and research for visiting faculty as well as support for conducting research. We are particularly interested in attracting and welcoming candidates from under-represented groups as well as individuals who have experience working with diverse undergraduate student populations.
