The Department of Philosophy at the University of Warwick is inviting applications for an Associate Professor in post-Kantian European Philosophy. We particularly welcome applications from members of groups currently underrepresented in philosophy.

We are seeking to appoint a philosopher with an international profile, commensurate with career stage, in post-Kantian European Philosophy. The successful candidate will have demonstrated capacity to further enhance our research leadership in this area and a track-record as a dedicated and successful teacher. We are especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of our staff-student community. We are committed to a research-led approach to teaching and to providing our staff with an environment that supports developing their research and their teaching to the highest level.

You will join an ambitious, collegial, and welcoming department that is well-regarded internationally. We are placed 43rd in the world in the 2021 QS rankings for Philosophy. In the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014), we were ranked 1st in the UK for the quality of our research and 4th overall. We are ranked 4th in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022 and 6th in the Guardian University Guide 2022.
