FAQ: https://covid.nd.edu/vaccination/general-vaccination-faq/ Job Summary: The Notre Dame Technology Ethics Center (ND-TEC) and ND-IBM Technology Ethics Lab (the Lab) are seeking applicants for technology ethics postdoctoral fellowships from eligible graduate students or recent graduates. The appointment will be for a minimum appointment period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. Fellows can apply for a one-time, one-year renewal. Our goal is to hire 2-3 postdoctoral fellows. ND-TEC/the Lab are interdisciplinary units with affiliated faculty and students from across our community. As such, this position is open to applicants from a broad range of disciplines and backgrounds. We invite applications from doctoral students and recent graduates across disciplines who are writing dissertations on or are engaged in major research on topics related to technology ethics, broadly construed. Disciplines could include philosophy, engineering, data science, information studies, business, sociology, anthropology, history, law, critical studies, etc. The postdoctoral fellows are appointed within ND TEC and funded by the ND-IBM Technology Ethics Lab. Full Job Description: Tech Ethics Fellows are expected to teach one undergraduate seminar related to Technology Ethics each semester, devote time to a course of research associated with Technology Ethics, participate in the ND TEC’s weekly seminar series, and contribute to the Lab. Fellows for this incoming program will be responsible for the following goals: Teaching Research Service Qualifications: Students should be currently (a) enrolled in either a doctoral program or in a graduate program that leads to a terminal degree in that field (e.g. law or medicine); or (b) a recent graduate of such a program (within two years). |

- A Research Statement, not more than 3 pages, describing the proposed research agenda and substantiating their qualifications to pursue this agenda
- A Teaching Statement, not more than 3 pages, with a course proposal for the undergraduate seminar that includes a course description, tentative list of topics and readings
- A writing sample, not more than 30 pages, where the applicant was either the primary or sole author
- A CV
- 3 potential writers of letters of recommendation (names, relationships, and contact information are sufficient; please be sure that they know the ND-TEC director may be in contact with them directly to request their letter of recommendation)
