The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking to fill the position of a

Full Professor of Philosophy in the Field of Theoretical Philosophy

starting February 1, 2023.

Applicants should be advanced post-doc researchers with a good stock of peer-reviewed articles or monographs (serving as equivalent to the ‘habilitation’). Areas of specialization may include philosophy of the social sciences, philosophy of psychology and epistemology/feminist epistemology. In addition, familiarity with the history of philosophy is expected. As full professor you will contribute to the integrated BA and MA program Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) and the integrated BA and MA program Cultural Studies, also you will be in charge of the advanced training program Philosophy and Medicine. You are willing to support the further development of our young faculty and accept responsibilities in administrative tasks of the faculty. You are team oriented and socially skilled. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences considers itself an interdisciplinary association of disciplines from the social sciences and the humanities. Aside from the general disciplinary requirements, the successful candidate should therefore also be versed in interdisciplinary research and teaching.
