Job description

What we are looking for

We are seeking exceptional graduates and experienced professionals with 2-4 years of relevant experience to join us in our office in Copenhagen and New York. While we welcome applications across disciples, we especially invite those with a demonstrable strength in social sciences, such as anthropology, psychology, philosophy, sociology, and political science, to apply. To be successful at ReD, you must have an analytically sharp and empathetic mind and a professional work ethic that inspires and motivates people around you. You are intellectually curious, have great communication skills, have the humility to admit what you don’t know, and are excited to learn from and teach others.

Most associates start as consultants at ReD. We are currently looking for entry-level candidates and candidates with a bit more experience (3-4 years of relevant work experience).

In evaluating applications, we specifically look for:

  • An outstanding academic record, preferably with a master’s degree (or beyond), and/or advanced knowledge in the social sciences or humanities

  • Relevant experiences that highlight your skills

  • International experience and language skills

  • Previous experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods

  • A strong desire to impact the world of business using tools from the social sciences

  About the role

For graduates, a consultant role enables you to launch a career at ReD and beyond. This role is for recent graduates with training in the social sciences and the humanities, with an interest in consulting.  Experienced professionals can expect rigorous training in ReD’s perspective on solving strategic business challenges, using a lens from the social sciences and humanities.

A hands-on experience

As part of the ReD team, you will learn to apply social science theories and methods to help international companies and organizations to overcome their biggest challenges. You will be an integral part of our small, close-knit project teams, working side by side with experienced consultants at ReD. You will use your discretion and judgment to advise our clients on growing their businesses, anticipating future drivers of growth, and proposing strategies to navigate existential threats in their industry.

  • Your work will typically include:

  • Qualitative and quantitative research, primarily ethnographic fieldwork and expert interviews, that involve deep immersions into human phenomena

  • Development of original insights, concepts, and solutions for our clients, and proactively delivering recommendations grounded in research findings

  • Planning, presenting, and managing key workstreams on projects

  • Building presentations for ReD clients based on research and analysis

An opportunity for growth

At ReD, you will work closely with a team of colleagues who are committed to helping you grow and succeed, and you will receive continuous feedback on all assignments so you can track your progress. In addition, you will receive extensive training through participation in a range of internal training programs—from modules on consulting and research basics that are specifically tailored to new hires to firm-wide training initiatives, and periodic talks by renowned external experts.

  The details

All applicants must submit a cover letter, and a résumé, along with your transcripts through our web-form. Please compile the documents into a single PDF file.

We also ask that you upload an additional cover letter and résumé without your name on (preferably with initials instead).

NOTE THAT ONLY APPLICATIONS INCLUDING A COVER LETTER, RÉSUMÉ, AND TRANSCRIPTS WILL BE REVIEWED.

We receive a high number of applications in each application period and are only able to conduct a limited number of interviews.

Consultants receive a competitive salary with benefits.
