Job description

The Environmental Studies (ENST) Program at Colgate University invites applications for a visiting assistant professor with research and teaching expertise in environmental justice, to begin fall semester 2022. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal for an additional year. The successful candidate will teach five courses per year, including an environmental justice course required of all ENST students and additional courses that support ENST and other university programs, including Colgate’s Core Curriculum. We welcome applications from all environmental justice scholars, with a preference for candidates with regional interests in Africa and/or the Americas and the potential to support Colgate’s Africana and Latin American Studies Program in addition to ENST. Completion of Ph.D. is required prior to or shortly after the date of hire.
