Professor of Philosophy (EXPIRED)

LCC International University invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the Theology Departmentto begin in the fall semester of 2013.

The University: LCC International University is a fully accredited liberal arts university located in the port city of Klaipeda, Lithuania. All instruction is in English and our 600 students come from 21 countries for an education from an uncompromising Christian worldview. We recruit faculty who will help us build and develop our programs in this large post-Soviet region, extending from the Baltics to the Urals, down to the Black Sea and into Central Asia.

Job Description: The Department of Theology is seeking a full time Professor of Philosophy. Responsibilities may include:

·         Course responsibilities: Introduction to Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion; and Moral Philosophy;

·         Teaching other philosophy and/or theology electives;

·         Advising students in the theologymajor;

·         Providing assistance in curriculum development;

·         Continuing scholarship and community service.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Ph.D. in philosophy, or closely related field by the time of appointment, or a Master’s degree in philosophy, with at least three years of related work experience;

·         Demonstrated competence in teaching at the undergraduate level;

·         Demonstrated commitment to student-centered education;

·         Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of a culturally diverse student body.
