Job description |
The Department of Philosophy at the University of Virginia invites applications for a non-tenure track Assistant Professor, General Faculty. Applicants must have demonstrated excellence in teaching and experience teaching formal logic, informal logic, or critical thinking. Responsibilities of the position include teaching a 3/3 load, with three sections of a course in informal logic or critical thinking each semester. A Ph.D. degree in Philosophy is required by the start date. This is a one-year (9 month), tenure-ineligible appointment with the possibility of renewal, contingent upon available funding, satisfactory performance, and need for the position.
