Postdoctoral Scholar (Philosophy) – Multiple Positions 

The Department of Philosophy at Florida State University (FSU) invites applications for a position as a Dean’s Postdoctoral Scholar (two positions available). These are full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-track positions with an anticipated start date in August 2022. Initial appointments are for 12 months, with the possibility of renewal (for up to 3 years total in the position). Salary competitive. The teaching load is four courses per year (Fall and Spring semesters).

Area of Specialization: Ethics or Philosophy of Science (both broadly construed) 

Area of Competence: Open

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. (or highest degree appropriate) in Philosophy from an accredited institution, with demonstrated ability to teach and participate in our strong philosophy undergraduate, M.A., and Ph.D. programs. Applicants must have received the PhD no earlier than August 2017, and it must be conferred by August 19, 2022.
