Purdue University’s Department of Philosophy is seeking either:
for a one-year postdoctoral research associate position (August 15, 2022–May 16, 2023). AOS: Philosophy of cognitive science and/or moral psychology; AOC: Open. Principal Duties: Purdue is a member of the American Association of Universities, and seeks a philosopher of exceptional promise who will contribute to the excellence of our department and college. This position will have no teaching duties associated with it. However, the successful applicant will have grant writing skills, as the primary duties of the position will be to coordinate efforts between faculty to pursue external funding in support of projects associated with the evolution of norms and norm psychology. The position includes a (9-month) salary of $37,174 and an annual research allowance of $1,500. Qualifications: To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have received a Ph.D. in philosophy or cognitive/social science between September 1, 2017 and June 30, 2022. If letters are requested from the candidate at a later stage, instructions for how to submit letters will be communicated directly to the candidate.
