The Department of Philosophy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks three full-time Lecturers for the 2022/2023 academic year, with a target start date of August 16, 2022. Successful candidates can expect to teach 6 courses a year (3/semester) in lower- and upper-division Philosophy courses. It is crucial for us to staff our lower-division Minds and Machines course (PHIL 223), so we are seeking candidates with a background in one or more of the following: Philosophy of Mind; Computational Semantics and Philosophy; Philosophy of Language; Philosophy of Psychology and/or Cognitive Science; and Philosophy of Science. We are also seeking candidates with a background in Value theory, Ethics, and Kant. Ability to teach in one or more of the areas of ethics, social & political philosophy, and value theory is desirable but not essential.

Required: PhD in Philophy or congnate fields in hand by August 16 and evidence of successful teaching at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels.
SALARY AND APPOINTMENT INFORMATION
This is a full-time, 9-month appointment, non-tenure track position, renewable yearly subject to enrollments, funding, and positive performance evaluations. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
