Job description

The Department of History & Philosophy at North Georgia College & State University is accepting applications for an adjunct pool to teach undergraduate courses in philosophy, specifically, Global Ethics, with possible online courses. The department currently offers degrees in History, History with Teacher Certification, and Masters in History, as well as minors in History and Philosophy. Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, 60 miles north of Atlanta, North Georgia is state-supported, co-educational, comprehensive university known for its academic excellence and strong emphasis on teaching.

Job Type Non-Benefits Part-Time Education Requirement

A minimum of a master’s degree in philosophy or a related field. Completion of at least 18 hours of graduate level philosophy courses at the time of the appointment.

Experience Requirement

Undergraduate teaching experience and work experience in the field of philosophy is preferred.

Certifications/Licenses   Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Preferred skills include strong verbal and written communication skills, and effective presentation skills.
