Visiting Assistant Professor (EXPIRED)

The philosophy department at Washington & Jefferson College seeks a visiting assistant professor for the academic year 2013-2014.  A second year is possible but also contingent on funding, which remains uncertain at the present time.  AOS: open, but must be able to teach introductory level course on moral philosophy.  Teaching: six courses; three in both fall and spring, with two preparations each semester.  Teaching primarily at the lower level, with strong likelihood of intermediate-level course(s) in the candidate’s AOS.  Salary competitive, benefits included. 

W&J is a small private liberal arts college located 35 miles outside of Pittsburgh, and a premium is placed on teaching at the institution.  Candidates should submit application materials to [email protected].  Materials should include cover letter, c. v., three letters of recommendation, and evidence of teaching excellence.  Review of applications will begin on March 25 and continue until position is filled.
