Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy (EXPIRED)

St. Mary's University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy beginning August 2022 for a one-year appointment. Area of Specialization is open and Area of Competency is open. Candidates for the position should have a PhD in Philosophy from an accredited institution. ABD candidates who are expected to receive their doctorate before the start of the appointment will also be considered.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach four classes in fall semesters and four classes in spring semesters for the Department of Philosophy. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching introduction to philosophy and ethics, both of which are required courses for St. Mary's core curriculum. Additional duties include holding office hours and advising students. Research and publications are valued but not required for this position.
