Applications are invited for the post of a postdoctoral researcher (m/f/d, 75% employment, Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L*) in the Department of Philosophy, working with Prof. Dr. Klaus Corcilius. This vacancy is connected to the award of an ERC Advanced Grant, entitled "TIDA – Text and Idea of Aristotle's Science of Living Things", for the period 2022-27. The project will be based at the University of Tübingen. In total, the group will consist of five postdoctoral researchers, one PhD student, student assistants, and guest researchers. A solid background and experience, including a PhD in a relevant discipline, is required: - Ancient Philosophy, especially Aristotle's theory of scientific explanation. The successful applicant is expected to engage in the collaborative efforts of the project. The period of employment will be for 1 year, beginning in January 2023.
