Job description |
The Center for Entrepreneurship and the Program for Leadership and Character at Wake Forest University seek an engaged, creative, and committed teacher-scholar to fill a position as Assistant Teaching Professor. This full-time, non-tenure track position with benefits offers an initial two-year appointment with possibility of renewal and promotion on a teaching-centered career path. The Assistant Teaching Professor will join an innovative and interdisciplinary cohort of emerging scholars from the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences to develop and teach leadership and character-related courses in their respective disciplines. This is a teaching-centric role with responsibilities divided as 80% teaching and 20% service. The course load is 3 per semester (a 3:3 load), including development and delivery of at least two courses with a primary focus on Leadership and Character in the context of Entrepreneurship and at least two courses that integrate Leadership and Character into Entrepreneurship. The person in this role will also contribute to the co-curricular programming of the Center for Entrepreneurship and the Program for Leadership and Character. In addition to participating in course development workshops and mentoring from faculty in both programs, the Assistant Teaching Professor will work with research scholars from the Program for Leadership and Character to assess the impact of their courses and potentially publish relevant research.
