About the department

The HSC department holds a unique position in an applications-oriented institution which allows faculty the opportunity to design and teach a variety of courses across disciplines. The department is a collegial environment with two other philosophers as well as faculty in psychology, history, literature, Spanish, user experience, and communication.  Our offices are housed in the Grohmann Museum, which displays a collection of industrial art created from 1580 to the present.
