Part-time Philosophy instructor to teach day or evening classes.
Examples of Duties: Philosophy instructor to teach college-transfer Philosophy (PHI 210 & 240) classes. In addition to the primary duty of teaching, the adjunct Philosophy instructor will assist with curriculum design, textbook selection, and assessment of student learning outcomes. Typical Qualifications: Master's degree in Philosophy (or related area) with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Philosophy required. Community college teaching experience is preferred. Supplemental Information: Must value the concept of teamwork and work well with others. The candidate must possess good organizational skills, maintain accurate records, communicate effectively, and share the community college educational philosophy. |
