The Department of Philosophy at Baruch College, CUNY, is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor position, tenure track. The position will involve teaching introductory-level undergraduate courses as well as elective courses in the applicant’s area of expertise. We are seeking a philosopher with a strong research profile. Area of Specialization: Environmental Philosophy; Climate Justice This position is part of an interdisciplinary cluster of new faculty across Baruch College’s three Schools (The Marxe School of Public and International Affairs, Weissman School of Arts and Science, and Zicklin School of Business) studying the impacts of climate change. This cluster will strengthen the research base that already exists at Baruch, contribute to climate-related academic programs and opportunities for students (such as the Baruch/CUNY Climate Scholars Program), increase the career opportunities for its graduates, and enhance collaborations across CUNY. Faculty in the cluster are expected to collaborate with one another, a new Data Science cluster, and appropriate centers and institutes.
