Assistant Professor (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy at Oklahoma State University seeks a tenure-track assistant professor to begin the fall 2023 semester. Initial appointment four years. Two classes per semester, with some committee work. Salary competitive. The Department seeks individual with an AOS in Contemporary Analytic Philosophy and an AOC in Logic, Epistemology, Metaphysics or Philosophy of Language. The department’s interests in epistemology are broad and include but are not limited to social epistemology, virtue epistemology and formal epistemology. The successful candidate must be able to teach an upper-level course in Symbolic Logic (e.g., PHIL 3003 Symbolic Logic) and Metaphysics/Epistemology (e.g., PHIL 4983 Knowledge and Reality). The department has online instructional needs, and applicants with an interest in developing online courses are encouraged indicate such an interest in application materials.
