Philosophy: Assistant Professor, Philosophy. Alvernia University invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Philosophy, tenure track position. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in hand by time of appointment. AOS - Open, but strong background in ethics and history of philosophy required. AOC - Preference given to applicants who can teach social/political philosophy and one or more subfields such as race theory, post-colonial theory, feminist and gender studies and/or environmental philosophy. Applicants must be excited to teach core curriculum, and willing to teach first year seminar.
