Vacancy Overview: Permanent position, 1.0 FTE.

The Department of Philosophy at the University of Warwick is inviting applications for a permanent post in post-Kantian European Philosophy. Applications will be considered for Assistant or Associate Professor, with any appointment dependent on career stage and experience. We particularly welcome applications from members of groups currently underrepresented in philosophy.

We are seeking to appoint a philosopher with an international profile, commensurate with career stage, in post-Kantian European Philosophy. The successful candidate will have demonstrated capacity to further enhance our research leadership in this area and a track-record as a dedicated and successful teacher. We are especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of our staff-student community. Job Description

You will undertake research, teaching, administration and other activities supporting the work of the Department and developing and enhancing its national and international reputation.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. To undertake original research leading to publications of the highest quality and, where appropriate, with the potential for significant impact.

2. To secure, in collaboration with others as appropriate, external funding through research grants.

3. To provide academic leadership in scholarship and teaching.

4. To undertake appropriate undergraduate and postgraduate teaching of the highest quality.

5. To perform administrative and pastoral responsibilities as may be assigned.

6. To demonstrate good citizenship within the Department and the University.

7. To engage in ongoing professional development.
