Job description

The Department of Philosophy at Wake Forest University invites applications for a permanent, non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor position, beginning in the Fall of 2023, from candidates who have demonstrable teaching competence in both Ancient Philosophy and one or more of the following areas: Philosophy of Race, Philosophy of Technology, Philosophy of Gender, Environmental Ethics.

A Ph.D. in Philosophy is required for this position. The duties of the position include teaching 3 courses per semester and some College and Departmental service. The initial contract is for two years and is renewable, and the position is eligible for promotion to Associate and Full Teaching Professor.
