Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor (EXPIRED)

Wesleyan University's Department of Philosophy invites applications for a 1-year visiting position for the 2013-14 academic year at the level of Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor, depending on degree status.  (Ph.D. should be completed by September 2013.)  The candidate's areas of teaching should include some combination of ethics, political philosophy and aesthetics.  The teaching load for this appointment is 3/2, all undergraduate, and will include two first-year seminars in the fall semester and one advanced seminar on a topic related to the candidate's specialization and research interests.  Applicants should submit cv, 3 letters of recommendation, evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching (for example, official summaries of teaching evaluation results) electronically athttp://careers.wesleyan.edu/postings/3874.
