Salary Range Based on the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement - Article 15. Job Summary

The department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at CWU is accepting applications to fill future full-time, part-time, quarterly and annual appointment lecturer positions to teach classes in the courses/subject areas listed below. This list is not all inclusive: other courses/subject areas may become available within the department.

Introduction to Philosophy, Global Ethics, Current Ethical Issues, Introduction to Logic, World Religions, Sacred Books of the World, and some upper-division courses as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Philosophy or Religious Studies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Philosophy or Religious Studies
  • University level teaching experience

    Additional Information for Applicants

This announcement will be used to develop a pool of applicants for future positions in the department of Philosophy and Religious Studies through spring quarter 2014. Selected applicants may be called on short notice to fill lecturer vacancies on a quarter-by-quarter basis.

Screening of applications begins immediately and will continue as needed. The number of lecturer positions filled varies from quarter to quarter, depending upon the needs of the department. Positions typically start at the beginning of an academic quarter. Your application will be maintained in this pool for consideration through March 2014.
