 PHILOSOPHY: Introduction to Philosophy

Part-time Lecturer (non-tenure-track)

The Department of Philosophy at Tufts University is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach two sections of Introduction to Philosophy, to be offered in the 2023 fall semester, with the possibility of teaching up to three more sections of that course in the 2024 spring semester.

A PhD in Philosophy, and teaching experience, are required. Because Introduction to Philosophy satisfies a college writing requirement, experience in teaching writing skills is strongly preferred.

Please submit a letter of application that briefly describes your research and teaching experience, a CV, a writing sample, and two letters of recommendation sent directly to Interfolio by recommenders. If available, please also submit teaching evaluations or other evidence of teaching skills.

Review of applications will begin on March 1, 2023, and will continue until the position is filled. To receive full consideration applicants should apply by March 15, 2023.

Please address questions via e-mail, using the subject line “Lecturer Search,” to department administrator Jaouad Elkamouss: [email protected]
