| Job description |
The APA Blog is looking for a new Social Media Coordinator. The APA Blog reports on issues of concern to APA members, including professional philosophers and philosophically inclined members of society. It has multiples areas it covers: research, diversity and inclusion, teaching, work/life balance, and public philosophy. The APA Blog is funded by the American Philosophical Association. The Social Media Coordinator ensures that Blog posts are sent out on the Blog’s social media accounts on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. In addition, they draw attention to Blog posts by liking, reposting, and retweeting content of interest to Blog readers. Social Media Coordinators should be aware of topics trending among philosophers online. The person hired for this position will work with Blog staff to explore the possibility of starting an APA Blog Substack. Details of this project will be discussed with the applicant upon hiring. A modest yearly stipend of $1000 will be paid to the Social Media Coordinator in quarterly installments.
