Job description

PHL 345 The Civil Rights Movement 
Examines the civil rights movement from 1954 to 1980s; based on PBS series: Eyes on the Prize

LOCATIONS: Metro Detroit, MI and in Multiple Michigan Centers

The successful candidate will teach adult students in classes offered on alternating weekends or one night a week for eight weeks. A generous stipend is paid with the teaching of the course.

A Ph.D. in Philosophy with graduate level coursework in the topic to be taught is preferred or at least graduate work on the topic. An ABD might be considered if candidate has teaching experience.

Local candidates are preferred for teaching assignments but qualified instructors outside local area may be considered. The University does not sponsor candidates or reimburse relocation expenses for part-time openings.
