Job description

The Philosophy Department is hiring part-time lecturers for the Fall 2013 semester to teach sections of undergraduate Philosophy courses including, but not limited to, PHIL 1000 (Logic), PHIL 1001 (Philosophy of Human Nature), and PHIL 2310 (Theory of Ethics).

Essential Functions

Teaching undergraduate course(s) in Philosophy.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate(s) will have full responsibility for the courses and sections they are teaching, including grading exams and papers. Must maintain a minimum of 3 office hours per week.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Masters degree preferred.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

M.A. in Philosophy or equivalent graduate study in Philosophy; must provide evidence of effective teaching and/or evidence of effective professional training.
