The advertised position is situated in the Department of Philosophy in the Faculty of Philosophy and Education. The position is affiliated with the ERC-Project 'Distortions of Normativity' (Principal Investigator: Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Herlinde Pauer-Studer).
The successful candidate has a PhD in Philosophy, preferably Ethics and/or Political Philosophy. The position can be used to work towards a "Habilitation".
Extent of Employment: 40 hours/week
Occupation group in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 lit. b (postdoc)
On top of this relevant chargeable work experience determines the assessment to a particular salary grade.
Areas of work:
The main task is to work on a specific research topic within the ERC-project "Distortions of Normativity" and to produce publications.
The ERC-Project "Distortions of Normativity" focuses on the following main areas:
(a) Ethics
(b) Political Philosophy
(c) Legal Theory and Philosophy of Law
Other tasks are: to participate in organizing workshops and conferences within the ERC-project "Distortions of Normativity". The appointment is limited to 1 year.
Profile:
To be successful, applicants must fulfil the following conditions:
- PhD in philosophy
- publications and research talks in at least one of the areas listed above
- ability to work as a member of a team
- English-speaking candidates should have good reading knowledge of the German language.
