Philosophy Faculty (EXPIRED)

Jefferson College is seeking a highly qualified and motivated faculty member who is student-centered and committed to innovative teaching, academic advising, institutional service, and community service.  The individual selected to join Jefferson Colleges excellent full-time faculty will demonstrate commitment to assessing and documenting student learning outcomes and using technology in the learning process.

Responsibilities & Qualifications: The teaching load for this position is five three-hour courses.  The ability to teach Logic, Introduction to Philosophy and Ethics is required.  The ability to teach Medical Ethics and World Religions is desirable.  Documentation of content-rich and engaging Philosophy instruction is critical. Community college teaching experience is preferred. Masters Degree in Philosophy is required; Ph.D. preferred. 

This is a one-year faculty appointment; rank and salary commensurate with education, experience, and professional qualifications.  Position will begin August 12, 2013.
