The School of Philosophy, Linguistics and Science Studies at Tel-Aviv University is seeking applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Philosophy beginning October 2024.
Job Description and Requirements: Job responsibilities include the teaching of required and elective courses in the candidate’s area of specialization at both the undergraduate and graduate level, and possibly general introductory courses in philosophy as well. Members are also expected to supervise undergraduate and graduate students at the M.A. and Ph.D. levels. The principal language of instruction in the department is Hebrew, but a number of courses yearly are taught in English. Candidates who do not speak Hebrew will be expected to begin teaching in Hebrew within two years of their appointment. The successful candidates must hold a Ph.D. from the beginning of employment. Salary and employment conditions will conform to Tel Aviv University regulations. The appointment procedure will be carried out according to the rules and regulations of Tel-Aviv University authorities and is subject to the approval of the University authorities.
