The Department of Political Science, Philosophy and Economics in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Nipissing University invites applications from candidates for a 10-month Limited Term Appointment (LTA), commencing August 1, 2023. The Philosophy program at Nipissing offers an Honours Specialization, Specialization, Major, and Minor degree. The core of the program is historical, and has strengths in value theory. The annual salary will correspond with qualifications and experience and will follow the Nipissing University Faculty Association (NUFA) Collective Agreement. The appointment will be effective August 1, 2023. The appointment is subject to final budget approval. Nipissing University is in the City of North Bay, Ontario (population 55,000), between Lake Nipissing and Trout Lake and surrounded by pristine Canadian Shield Forest. A comfortable three-hour drive from Toronto and three and a half hours from Ottawa, this growing city has a vibrant arts community, ample amenities, and countless opportunities for outdoor activities.
