Lecturer (EXPIRED)

The Department seeks to appoint a full-time, permanent Lecturer in Ethics from 1st October 2013, or a convenient time thereafter. You will be expected to teach undergraduates and postgraduates, to recruit and supervise research students, to assist in the administration of the Department, to conduct original research, to apply for research funding where appropriate and to take an active role in the research culture of the Department. This is a new post.

The Department is particularly interested in candidates with research projects relating to and with the ability to teach in the following areas at BA and MA levels: Practical Reason, Decision Theory, Social Choice and Social Policy. You will be expected to take an active role in the School of PEP (Politics, Economics and Philosophy), both teaching interdisciplinary modules and collaborating on research projects.
