The School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies at Arizona State University invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Philosophy with an anticipated start date of August 16, 2024. Areas of Specialization (AOS): Open, but the candidate’s research must be directly and significantly related to gender, race, sexuality, and/or disability. We welcome approaches to gender, race, sexuality, and/or disability, related to forms of oppression and imbalances of power, within any of the subfields of philosophy and that would contribute to our PhD focus on Practical and Applied Philosophy. Areas of Competence (AOC): Open. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an internationally recognized research program, teach and supervise undergraduate and graduate students (a 2/2 load), and participate in service activities in the school, college and university.

Required Qualifications
• PhD or equivalent in Philosophy or related discipline by time of appointment.
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching.
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in research.
• Area of research directly and significantly related to gender, race, sexuality, and/or disability.

• Demonstrated commitment to working with faculty, staff, students and communities to advance the principles of the ASU Charter.
