Job description |
The Ethics Program of Villanova University seeks candidates for the position of a Catherine of Siena Teaching Scholar.This position offers a teacher-scholar an opportunity to hone their teaching skills, advance their research agenda, and receive mentorship. Candidates must specialize in ethics and show command of philosophical and religious, particularly Christian, ethics, as well as engagement with applied ethics. Ideal candidates will also demonstrate competence and investment in presenting diverse and underrepresented perspectives. Successful candidates will have a clear commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and multicultural competence in an educational environment and must be willing to contribute to Villanova’s strategic plan for an inclusive community. Responsibilities include a 3/3 teaching load with the core ethics course as the primary course, research, and service for the program. A Ph.D. should be in hand by August 1, 2024. The position is for one year, renewable up to 4 years.
