No   Duties and Responsibilities Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Philosophy, invites candidates for a full-time, non-tenure-track, one-year appointment at the rank of Lecturer in Philosophy, Academic Year 2013-2014. We are seeking to fill 3 positions. The Department serves undergraduate majors and minors and has a doctoral program in Philosophy as well as two terminal masters programs: one in Philosophy and one in Social Philosophy. Duties will include teaching at the undergraduate level in the University Core Program. The expected teaching load for this position is 8 undergraduate courses per year, typically with 2 new course preparations per semester.   Minimum Education or Experience A completed Ph.D. by August 2013 is preferred. The area of specialization is open, but successful candidates will be able and willing to teach the foundational Philosophy core course on Philosophy and Persons (PHIL 130) as well as a foundational Core course in Ethics (PHIL 181 or PHIL 182).
