| Job description |
The Department of Philosophy at Bowling Green State University (BGSU) invites applications for one or more full-time Instructor positions beginning Fall 2013. These are one-year positions with full benefits and a possibility of renewal. Candidates must be able to teach a wide range of courses, including many of the following: introduction to logic (large lecture), medical ethics, philosophy of law, philosophy of punishment, philosophy of film, history of ethics, ancient philosophy, modern philosophy, epistemology, aesthetics, and world religions. M.A. in Philosophy is required; Ph.D. desired (required for teaching graduate courses). Applicants should submit a complete dossier, including a letter of application, a full curriculum vitae, and evidence of teaching effectiveness (including, if possible, a teaching letter of recommendation) to: Instructor Search Committee, Department of Philosophy, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green OH 43403-0222.
