The Department of Philosophy at Florida State University (FSU) invites applications for an open rank faculty position. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenured or tenure-track position (depending on experience) with an anticipated start date in August 2024. Salary competitive. Area of Specialization: Philosophy of Action, Philosophy of Mind, or Philosophy of Psychology. The normal teaching load is four courses per year (2-2) on a semester system. Duties include research, teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and service. The Department of Philosophy is an active research department with a strong graduate program, and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to research and scholarship through high quality publications in top-tier venues. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Ph.D. in Philosophy (or equivalent terminal degree) by the time of appointment; demonstrated potential in establishing a successful program of research and scholarship; demonstrated ability to teach and participate in our strong philosophy undergraduate, M.A., and Ph.D. programs.
