Adjunct Lecturer (EXPIRED)

The Philosophy Department seeks an adjunct instructor to teach one or two sections of Problems of Philosophy (PH 101) in the spring of 2013. The precise days and times of these sections are still to be determined. There is likely to be an opportunity for the successful applicant to teach sections of this course in future semesters.

Problems of Philosophy is a required course in Bentley's general education core curriculum. Students are required to learn the basic elements of ethics; other elements of the course design are up to the instructor.

In addition to the usual teaching duties (e.g., lecturing, facilitating discussion, grading), instructors are expected to respond to student inquiries and hold office hours (at least one hour per week).

Candidates must have at least an M.A. in Philosophy. Applications from candidates with Ph.D.s in Philosophy are also welcome.
