Job description

The Department of Philosophy at Emory University, Atlanta, GA announces a position at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track) with AOS: Philosophy of Law, AOC: Open.We ask applicants to convey in their cover letter how they will contribute to the department’s growing undergraduate major in Philosophy, Politics, and Law; its vibrant PhD program; and the department’s constellations of research interests. Application deadline: November 20, 2023. Ph.D. and/or S.J.D. required by time of appointment. Duties include conducting and publishing philosophical research (publication expectations are in keeping with Emory’s standing as an R1 institution), typically teaching 3 undergraduate and 1 graduate course per year (2/2 teaching load, semester system), advising a diverse student body, and other normal non-teaching service duties.
