University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA. Tenured faculty position in the Department of Philosophy, pending budgetary approval. Proposed starting date is September 1, 2024. Area of Specialization: Open Rank: Associate Professor or Full Professor Responsibilities: Undergraduate and graduate teaching, and regular departmental duties. Applicants should submit a CV with a list of publications and a list of references. In addition, applicants are expected to provide a brief personal statement that addresses their contributions to diversity through research, teaching, service and/or community engagement. Please mention any past contributions as well as any planned or potential contributions. Required Qualifications (1) A PhD in Philosophy or a closely related field; (2) A record of research excellence as evidenced, e.g., by an active research agenda in philosophy or a closely related field, and a record of high quality publications, academic presentations, or dissertation supervisions within philosophy or a closely related field.
