The department is looking for a generalist to help staff its courses in Applied Ethics and History of Philosophy, as well as other areas of philosophy. We seek a dedicated and innovative educator who is committed to and can demonstrate excellence in teaching. Bentley is committed to the teacher-scholar model where teaching, scholarship, service and community engagement are expected and valued. We seek qualified faculty who represent diverse backgrounds, interests and talents and share a commitment to high ethical standards and a willingness to embrace challenge and change.

The Philosophy Department offers courses in all areas of philosophy, including the field’s theoretical, practical, and applied dimensions. We offer Major and Minor degrees and teach in the Minor in Ethics and Compliance as well as the Environmental, Social, and Governance Minor. We seek to support our students’ intellectual growth by actively engaging with them outside the classroom, for example through the Bentley Philosophy Club. The department members undertake research in various areas of philosophy. More information is available here: https://www.bentley.edu/academics/departments/philosophy
