The Philosophy Department at Bentley University (Waltham, MA) invites applications for a full-time lecturer position. The position is a permanent non-tenure-track appointment, renewable yearly, contingent upon satisfactory performance and instructional need. Competitive salary and full benefit package offered. The standard course load for a lecturer is eight courses per year. AOS: Open. AOC: Ethics and the History of Philosophy. The department is looking for a generalist to help staff its courses in Applied Ethics and History of Philosophy, as well as other areas of philosophy. We seek a dedicated and innovative educator who is committed to and can demonstrate excellence in teaching. We seek to support our students’ intellectual growth by actively engaging with them outside the classroom, for example through the Bentley Philosophy Club.
