Job description |
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is searching for a full-time non-tenure track assistant professor of philosophy, beginning August 2024. This is a one-year temporary position with health benefits. The teaching load is eight courses a year over two semesters (4/4). The successful applicant must have a PhD in philosophy or equivalent by August 2024 and have demonstrated excellence in teaching philosophy. The new hire will be expected to mainly teach courses in applied ethics (especially bioethics) and the history of philosophy.
