Earlham College is seeking an Assistant Professor of Philosophy-Tenure Track to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Philosophy Department at Earlham College invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position:

Area of Specialization:  History of Philosophy with special emphasis on Continental Philosophy. 

Area of Competence: Ancient Greek Philosophy or Philosophy of Law or Feminist Philosophy or Aesthetics. 

Responsibilities:

Usual teaching load is 18-24 credits per academic year.  Advising and committee service required after the first year.  Candidates with appropriate interests may have opportunities to teach in interdisciplinary programs such as African and African-American Studies, Peace and Global Studies, and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies.  For more information on off-campus programs and interdisciplinary programs see our web page at www.earlham.edu/

  • Degree Type: Ph.D. prior to appointment is preferred, but ABD will be considered.
