Job description

Eastern Illinois University is seeking an Assistant Professor, tenure track, starting August 2024.  The successful candidate will teach three/four undergraduate courses per semester. Research and service required for promotion and tenure. Summer teaching on rotation. AOS: Open in areas of analytic philosophy broadly construed. AOC: Ability to teach lower division courses in Ethics, Religious studies, Logic, and Intro to Philosophy. Ability to teach upper division courses in Religious Studies, Philosophy of Law, Philosophy of Mind.

 

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Philosophy by time of appointment. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience promoting inclusive excellence is required.
